Default An update from Northwest Ohio

As every one probably all ready knows this is my third year trying to be a landlord.
Well I believe I am starting off very good this year. I have one ASY Male and female staying at night and I believe one SY Staying also.
I have had up to six PM's at one time checking out my house and gourds, man that was very exciting. 8) I have not seen much activity today, but it was cold and rainy here all day. I figure the PM's should be coming in about any time now.
Well I thought I would give you an up date.

Todd

Well I think I may have spoke to soon. Ever since I wrote my PM update on the 25th I have not herd or seen a martin since that morning before I went to work.

Is this normal for them to stay a week and leave. :? I hope they come back. I thougt I would ask a pro.

Thanks

Todd

Todd, I think that kind of behavior is perfectly normal this time of the year. Its been happening to me all of April. Had an ASY male hanging around for about a week then he disappeared. Had ocassional visits on and off the second week. Had a single female come and go this past Sunday after checking out a few houses. The best part is I have had an ASY pair visiting several times over the last week. Yesterday they spent a couple hours hanging around my houses. They disappeared after my lure CD shut off at 10 AM. Not sure if these are the same birds coming and going or not. Hope they settle in for good soon!

Sub-adults will be coming soon. Those are the ones that should settle in to stay for good. Good luck!!
