Default How to Face PM House

Hi!

I live in the southern part of Louisiana near Lafayette. I am a newbie to Purple Martin real estate.

I am installing an 8-compartment rectangular house with four entry openings on each end.

Should I face the openings in a North/South, East/West, or other direction, or does it matter?

Thanks!
Ray

Ray,

The best way to arrange holes is to the most open area. Away from trees away from buildings. You want the birds to have easy open access as much as possible.

Ray,

You are close to Karl Pesson's area of Louisiana.
