Lone Star Houses

wpeF.gif (4105 bytes)Lone Star Houses is a family oriented enterprise by David and Teresa Van Booven. It began as an interest, then a business, now a martin mission. The Van Boovens are constantly working on improving their houses to make them the best house on the market for the martin, as well as the landlord.

You can view their houses and get additional information at their web site, that is located at www.lonestarpurplemartin.com.Lone Star offers three models: a 14-compartment, the "Alamo", a 12-compartment, the "Goliad," and an 8-compartment, the "San Jacinto".

Each of the houses are constructed of .040 gauge white aluminum. All of the compartments measure 6" x 6" x12". Each house offers easy access hinged doors for nest checks and nest removals. Each compartment has it’s own individual porch with guardrails. All of the 1999-year model of houses will include winter doorstops and insulation in the attics of the houses.
